HIS R9 280X vs ASUS R9 280X

Hello,

i'm going to upgrade my old GPU (Sapphire 5850 Ext.) and after a lot of thought, i decided to upgrade to R9 280X and the option fall between ASUS and HIS

i know ASUS is a bit better than HIS, but the price different in my country between those 2 card is $100

is it worth it to pay $100 more for ASUS or should i just pick HIS?

If the price difference is that high, absolutely pick the HIS r9 280x.
By the way, those who say ASUS is beter than HIS aren't exactly right, but aren't exactly wrong either. HIS has superior cooling than the ASUS version, but it is a bit bigger and it has slightly smaller stock clocks. Both cards are great overclockers, but the ASUS one will naturally, be about 7-8*C hotter than the HIS card under load.

i would not buy either right now. Why are you going to pay $100 over the actual price? Those cards are only $300 cards they just jumped because of the bitcoin D bags who were buying all the amd cards like doomsdayers do water and canned food.

Both of those cards are almost the same price. There is no $100 price difference in the 2 you have listed. Wait for the 280x's to drop back to the $300 range. In the $400 range gtx770 4gb is the smarter choice.

btw, one more question if you don't mind.. im using phenom II X4 955 BE am i going to have a huge bottleneck?

i would still wait for the prices to drop then buy. They are high right now. Wait for the asus to drop back to the 300 range then grab that sucker up. Its a nice card.
