Will a GPU be busted if I dremmeled some holes into the pcie connector?(I already did) It gets it power through pci and fans turn on. I think mobo is busted anyways but wanted to know about the gpu.

Solution
.. If it works... it works..!?

You could cause a board short..but I imagine it would have happened if it was going to happen !

I litterally drilled holes into the pcie out that you put into motherboard(to make it fit better on a motherboard). CONFIRMED WORKING :D

It doesn't get power from psu, gets it via pcie. This was on a EVGA 210, not advised on a high end(but it'd probably work fine)

Just to clarify -do you mean on the card, through the (usually) gold plated/colored contact points on the card where it sticks out as the "tab" you place into the PCIe slot on mobo? Or just somewhere on the general area of card (the PCB)...?
