Home group Problems

I have my printer hooked up to my windows 7 PC. I can join my windows 8 laptop to the home group but I can't print from my laptop. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

on both pc make sure print sharing is on. on the laptop you have to install the network printer drivers or set up it as a network printer you need the printers ip and id., that info will be under printer network settings that you can print out.
