I have a Win7 laptop and XPPro laptop both connected to the same wireless router for internet connection. Can I remotely access XPPro from Win7?

Yes you can and it's pretty basic networking that Windows can handle for you. In XP, go to Control Panel and run the Network Setup Wizard and allow File and Printer Sharing. The wizard sorts the firewall out. Then go to the folders you want to share, right click and go to Sharing and Security. Name them and tick to allow users to change them.

The process is similar in W7 but it's best to ignore the Homegroup facility and use the simple networking that XP uses.[/#000ff]
