Hey guys! I am looking for a decent home-plug (The thing that runs internet through your power outlets).

Cable is not an option, and our WiFi is really bad, especially since my room is in the basement.
Anyway, I am looking for a home-plug with a capacity of at least 500 Mbps download/ upload speed. is it a good idea to use it for gaming? And which one do you recommend? The router and my computer isn't on the same circuit, therefore I am worried about stability.

My budget is around 80 - 90 dollars, 700 - 800 NOK.
Thank you for all the help, guys :)

You will get nowhere near 500m even from the ones that claim to be AV500 devices. The newest devices that say they are av1200 get in the 250m range in many houses. No way to say for sure what they will get in your house. Good news I suppose is that you can get a pair of almost any brand of av1200 devices in your price range. Many people like the tplink ones but netgear work well also.

The av1200 also use the ground lead for signalling so they tend to work in houses where the older units have troubles.
