Hooked up another monitor; temperature increased and GPU usage is increased

So usually my GPU temps are 32c~34c idle with zero usage....
Now that I have hooked in another monitor (not the same) my GPU reports usage of 7~11% (highest recorded was 19)
and my GPU temps have now increased by 10c~12c. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
P.S.
I've already restarted my PC since the plug in

CPU AMD FX 6300
GPU Sapphire r9 280
PSU 620 Seasonic 80+Bronze Certified

It's only 10C higher because not being in idle clocks is only going to add just a little heat. There's no extra load, it's just using a bit more power and thus a bit more heat. Load temps shouldn't be different. It's still clocking to the same at load and a 2nd monitor is not really any extra work unless you have something else on it. It's still a bug to not idle when it should but it's really not a big deal to most people. It's probably why it hasn't been fixed yet.

I seriously dont want my GPU have an increased temperature...Is there any way to lower it down??

Sorry, I read that really fast before. If you're at idle then no it's not good. If you are actively using the panels then it will work your GPU more so it would be normal depending on the cooling solution you have. I would check to see what is running and check your system resources allocation. This might tell you if something is running in the background. This might not be directly related to your GPU usage though.

Not sure how to check that. Do I simply go to the over drive and record the clock that it is showing? if so, then how do I know the idle clock?

Edit:
I've just disabled my second monitor and everything went back to normal with much lesser clock and memory setting.
Seriously, how come people connect 5 monitors in eyefinity and handle gaming but I can't? Is it because of this specific monitor or what?

That's due to the GPU and the connectors to each panel. Not to mention the resolution they have their panels set at. You have to have active connectors in order to support multiple panels depending on if your GPU can handle that many panels natively or not. Some AMD GPUs also need an active hub when you get to a certain number of panels.

This has nothing to do with how to have more monitors. He means how he's having clock issues (causing the heat issue) with just 2. This is a bug with the driver and I don't remember if there is a fix to it. It doesn't seem to affect everyone.

But I mean, it is only resting at 44 ~ 45 degree Celsius. Only 10 degrees higher than usual. And last time I heard 44c is still within the maximum thermal temperature.
So is should be fine right? And if not, please explain to me how come.

Just a quick question...
My video card wont shorten its life by idling at 44~45 C right?
