Hooking it up... what did i do wrong?

I have been trying to build my own pc over the past couple months, here and there from when I come back from college, but after I finished getting all the parts and put everything together(I double checked everything but its still my first time) I ran into a problem. when I hit the power button the heat sink fan doesn't attempt to move at all, the graphics card fan and the fan in the case only attempt to move, but never actually start a full motion.

I don't know if it is a problem with one of my parts or if I missed a simple connection on my motherboard.

Any advice is helpful, any can kickers to other links, unless they actually relate to my issue please stay away. Thanks.

It kind of sounds like you've hooked up the fan connectors wrong. Are you sure they're plugged into the right places on the motherboard? And that they are all the way 'pushed down' or engaged?

I currently have the CPU hooked up the the CPU pins on the motherboad, and then two case fans connected to sys_FAN.
