Horizontal lines flickering across the screen after GPU upgrade

Hi every one.
After long while with my PC without any upgrade I decided to move on at least with mostly used part which is graphic card. I upgraded it from nVidia GTX560Ti to GTX760 OC.
Firstly it gave me a massive improvement in fps and I was really hapy till the point I realized that I can see horizontal lines going across the whole screen from top to the bottom. They look more like refresh rate issues, but I cannot see them in desktop or photoshop (mostly used piece of software) or even during movies. Only in games and so far there are in all of the games I've tested (World of Tanks, gta V, Witcher 2, Fallout 4, etc.). They definitely havent been there with old GPU.
Unfortunately as I just bought my first house I dont have too much money to spend and I'm using my old monitor with only VGA input. Newer big screen is now used as the TV in living room downstairs. So I'm using VGA-DVI converter.

Here is the list what I already tested:
-All the connections between monitor and case. Checked both sides of VGA cable and also changed DVI converter for completely new one.
-Graphic card connection on motherboard (took it out and back in) and PSU 8 pin connector.
-different power socket for monitor and PC (I found on the internet it may cause a problem)
-Turn on vertical sync and tripple buffer in games and/or nVidia settings
-Reinstall drivers for graphic card

Unfortunately all of this was unsucesfull and flickering is still there in every game. With vsync on it will just change a frequency.
Also I have tried to change the refresh rate but I dont have any other choices than 60Hz
Do anybody else have other idea what should I try? I might take PC downstairs when my gf fall asleep and try it on TV, but it will not sort my issue in my office / gaming room anyway.

Can you screenshot it? Sounds like screen tearing but that will be cured by vsync, turn it on in the games options menu not the nvidia settings and try again. If that doesn't work im going to need a screenshot it could be gpu artfacting, but your description sounds like screen tearing.

I'll do a video for you and I'll post it on youtube. Give me about 10-20minutes.

Okay that will work.

Uploaded..link is in the post above

Hmm I dont really know what that is. It doesn't look like screen tearing or artifacting. I would guess that its an issue with your monitor, has it done this from the moment you put in your new gpu? Are you sure your old gpu wasn't doing the same thing? I would try another monitor or maybe an HDTV or something and see if you can still see it, if you can then we can blame the gpu instead of the monitor.

It is old Compaq moniotr (I dont even know if that brand still exists) with only one VGA input and some rubbish built-in speakers. But it is 1080p so it can work till I will save some money for proper new one with some low response and high frequency. I might try to connect it on to big screen downstairs but my case is quite heavy so I'm not very eager to do it :)

Yeah then its probably the monitor. I hate lugging my computer around as well but if I were you I would check it on your big screen before you buy a new monitor just in case it happens to be an issue with the computer. I would be very dissapointed if I bought a new monitor and it was still doing that.

OK, I've tested it on the big screen downstairs and it is fine. No lines or anything, nice crisp image.
So question now is if I need to save for new screen faster or if there is some simple and cheap solution how can I use my old one. I already ordered VGA - HDMI cable from ebay to get rid of that VGA-DVI converter.
If that will not help, is there anything else I can try?

Thanks, much appreciate it.

Hi,
Firstly thanks for the answer.
As you can see in the first post I've tested to move power cable away from all other cables so I would say it was pretty far from VGA cable too. But I will give it a go today after work in about hour and half.

Sorry I missed that. Do you have another VGA cable.
I am wondering if the crosstalk is happening on the graphics card itself.

No, I don't but I can borrow one from work. That's a good idea.
Anyway GPU should be fine as I had it connected yesterday evening on to the HD TV without any issues..

HDMI.
I know now it is something related to cable or monitor, but I would like to sort it as I don't want to buy new monitor any time soon (at least couple months).

OK, I've tested another VGA cable without any improvement and I also tried to put it as far from other cables as it was possible.
New VGA-HDMI cable isn't here yet so I cannot say if i will help.
New ideas anybody?
