Question Horizontal lines of defective pixels appearing on laptop display

Hey, I'm new here because my laptop display is acting up and nowhere else online seems to have a straight answer.

As of a week ago, these lines of defective pixels began to appear on my display (which I already had to get replaced a few months back because of a different issue with the display). It started with 1 but has now grown to 8. As you can hopefully see in the photo, they turn on when they display white, but otherwise, they create a dark line across. This does not happen on my external monitor.

My warranty expired back in December, so I would like to avoid another replacement, but worst-case scenario, I'll cave in if I have to, or at this point, get a new one.

If your external monitor works fine then you need to replace the LCD.
