Horizontal lines on monitor + weird sound coming from headphone

I have recently bought a pc gamer but i've found out that the graphic card doesnt support VGA because my monitor only has VGA port so i bought a converter DVI to VGA it went fine after a while some horizontal weird lines started appearing on screen when playing games and when they appear i can hear a weird sound coming out from the headphone and anothr noise coming from the pc, the lines appears and disappears very fast, after few days they started appearing around my desktop when i open any application they appear&disppear(fast) and then after few seconds they completely disappear is it because of the converter or the pc?

Hey Karlops, Just tell you replace your graphics card with a new one, which should have a VGA port. DVI to VGA, doesn't work well in PC. Some where it works, some where it doesn't. So replace it with a new one b4 malfunctioning your monitor. Replace it, and it will definitely solve your problem.
