Horizontal scan lines on my laptop display, often on dark/black backgrounds

I've been having some issues with my gaming laptops monitor lately.
There are horizontal scan lines running across the screen.
They mostly seem to appear on darker and heavely on black backgrounds.
The weird part is that I can't find out whether it's a hardware or software problem.
Here's a list of everything I've tryed so far:
A screenshot of these lines; they do not appear in the picture
Turning off my graphics card; problem not solved
Installing an older driver for my intergrated (intel) graphics; no result
Running Windows in safe mode; they're still there
Lowering the Hz from 144 to 60; doesn't change a thing
So what do you guys make out of this, I was wondering if this problem could have anything to do with a game/program I've installed (anti-virus doesn't find anything though). Thanks!

I bought it a few months ago, and at first there were no issues.
After a while, I messed around in the control centre, thereby changing some memory settings to 'custom' which resulted in a black screen the next time I restarted my device. The compagny I bought I from was able to fix it, but 2 day after I got it back after the repair, this problem popped up. It's been about a week now. And no, I did not damage it fisically, but I'm not a tec expert so I'm not 100% sure if I might have messed up on the software side again. I don't want to send it to them again if I don't need to, because I've to pay for the delivery and then I have to miss my laptop for 2 weeks again. They don't seems to know what's wrong with it either, when I explain them the problem by mail. So before I send it to them, I first want to know what's wrong, or whether I can fix it myself.
Thanks for replying!

If you're running Windows 10, try this guide and see if you have any luck.

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-calibrate-your-pcs-monitor-windows-10

I've used the guide, and I can lessen the flickering effect by lowering the contrast, so basically making the screen way brighter, but it doesn't disappear completly. But in the process I noticed that I seem to be unable to change the brightness by using the dedicated buttons or the slider in the settings menu. (I haven't noticed this before since I alway use the same brightness.) Maybe it's related to the lines I'm seeing?

Try everything in this guide

I wouldn't suggest you do the driver booster one as that can cause complications.

Try pressing firmly on the outer edges of the screen and see if that has any effect.

Re-install the graphics driver using DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html]

Download the drivers for the GPU, run DDU and select Clean and Restart then install the drivers on boot up.

I've tried everything in the video as you said, without result. Installing new drivers didn't work either, but I haven't used the DDU program since I don't have the tools to make a back-up of my system and I don't thrust it entirely. The manufacturor of my laptop guided me through a new installment of the drivers, but also no luck with that.

The best advice I can give you right now is to plug the laptop into an external monitor such as a TV or monitor and see if you have the same problem, if you do then it's most likely a GPU error, if you don't then it's likely the screen is malfunctioning.

Alright, I will try this. I haven't got the cable for it at home, so I'll try and contact a friend for it. Thanks a lot!
I'll let you know when I find the cause.

Since nothing seemed to work, I did send it back in.
The manufacturors didn't find the exact cause, but it appeared that the screen itself was broken.
They installed a new one and put a clean installation on the device.
Now let's hope that the problems stay away.
Thanks for your help!
