Horizontal Tearing in Middle of display

I am currently using a gtx evga GeForce 1070 gpu with and a LG ultra wide curved monitor that displays at 3440x1440 at 50hz. Recently I have noticed that I have a really annoying horizontal tear in the dead center of my monitor whenever I move my character in world of Warcraft. After exiting the game I noticed world of Warcraft was not the only place I have the tearing. Every site I go to has this annoying tear when I scroll. I tried turning on V-sync but that didn't work. I also tried dumming the quality on the game down nothing worked then either. Currently frustrated and would appreciate any advice!

Make sure you have set 50Mhz in your current resolution in nvidia control panel as well.
You should also try changing vsync to fast which will give you high fps without any tearing.
