I bought an Asus Panel about 4 months ago. Its been working great as part of a quad monitor setup. About 2 months ago, I moved my entire setup to my dorm room everything was still working fine.

Today, I turned it on and suddenly there is a vertical blue line approx 2-3 pixels thick. It is litterally right in the middle of the screen. It shows up after a reboot and is visisble on the GRUB menu, Windows OS, and Linux Mint OS. What is confusing me is that when I open the monitors menu, the line is not visible on the menu overlay. This leads me to believe that it is not a broken screen. It happens with a dvi cable and an hdmi cable.

Is there any way I could fix this myself, of should I just try my luck with ASUS tech support.

It could be your graphics card? What happens if you try switching that monitor with another one? Would the blue lines show up on the other monitor?

Mine was the same when I switch to another monitor...still vertical lines. So did I just blow my graphics card? It happened as soon as I popped a DVD movie on a recently purchased dvd player to try out. I have an AGP GC with 64 mb and my DVD is an IDE. Hoping that the only thing that got messed up is thr GC. Any thoughts?

I built one out of an old PC that I had to try and see if I can put one together....which I successfully did until the DVD movie was too much for the card...I guess. I built it for my son to do homework. So you think GC definitely?
