How bad did I screw up my amazon fire?

I have an amazon fire 5th gen, and when I went to download a game off [link removed], it got extremely slow and locked up briefly twice, so I then decided to clear the cache because why not? I then pressed reboot to boot loader thinking what is this, and not it's stuck on a screen that says => FASTBOOT mode... How bad did I screw up?

you did the same as most people with andoid phones do when the phones off and they hold the power and reset keys down and go into file recovery mode. there should be a key or menu to exit the mode your in and reboot without changing anything.

I got the system back up and running like normal, except it now does not know what battery life is and consumed 50% within 15 minutes. I'm so confused.
