[SOLVED] How can I connect my 2nd monitor to my PC

My 2nd monitor only has VGA ports.
I tried connecting my monitor directly to my motherboard but this didn't work I think because my Ryzen 5 1600X does not come with integrated graphics.
So what is the cheapest way to connect my 2nd monitor to my PC.
I have HDMI and display ports on my GPU.

Since VGA is analogue only, and HDMI and DisplayPort are digital only, you will need an active adaptor for either HDMI to VGA or DisplayPort to VGA

Make sure it is an active adaptor, since a passive adaptor won't work
