How can I control my Case fan speeds on the Phanteks Enthoo Pro?

I have my Phanteks enthoo pro case and I have a Asus VII maximus hero motherboard, I was planning on buying new case fans as i am not able to control the fans, but before i end up spending my money on new fans i want to know if there is any way i can control them?

use Asus fan Xpert software. it came with my Asus board and it works. Speed Fan is another software. but make sure you are plugging your fans into your motherboard.

That's the one with the fan hub behind the motherboard right? Plug that header into a 4 pin PWM header on the motherboard, and connect all your fans to the hub, also, make sure you have pwm fans to plug into the hub or you might not be able to control them anyways. I have mine plugged into the CPU1 header on my Sabertooth(I am on a custom water loop though). Then you can control all the fans from the Asus Suite or the bios works too.

Both your BIOS and AI Suite III (software delivered with your Mobo) have the function to individually control your fans, and set up profiles for different temp scenarios.

Keep them connected to the hub, connect the huns 4 pin header to a motherboard 4 pin header, and use the Asus Suite or Bios to control the hub through that. That will control all of the fans hooked up to the hub. They will all run at the same speed%. Or, they should...

jossrik is correct. The Phanteks PWM Hub included in your case is a unique hub because it uses one PWM fan control signal from a mobo SYS_FAN port to create six of its own 3-pin Voltage Control Mode ports for fans. Now, fan design is such that both 3-pin and 4-pin fans CAN be controlled by such a system, so that any fan plugged into the Hub should be under mobo control. You really should make sure that one fan is plugged into the Hub's white Port #1 - that is the only port that sends a fan speed signal back to the mobo. If there's no fan on that port, your BIOS will alarm you that the case ventilation fans has failed.

HOWEVER, to make this work you must connect it correctly. The Hub has two connection cables to it. One goes to a SATA power output connector from the PSU to get all the power for the Hub's fans. The other is a normal female 4-pin fan connector that MUST be plugged into a mobo port that actually supplies a PWM signal. And HERE is likely your problem! I am assuming that you have plugged this Hub connector into one mobo SYS_FAN port. BUT in your mobo's manual, page 3-43 Chassis Fan 1/2/3/4/ Q-Fan Control, it says there are three options to choose and by default it comes set to DC Mode. This is WRONG for what you are doing. Make sure you set this BIOS item for the port you are using to PWM Mode. Then remember to SAVE and EXIT to keep that setting. That should give your Hub the required PWM signal to control all the case fans plugged into it.

The default fans of the case are connected to the hub at the back of the MOBO, and the Asus Suite doesnt allow me to control the fans, they constantly run on the same speed.

If you cannot control speeds of the fans plugged into the Phateks PWM Hub, the MOST likely explanation is that the Hub is not getting a PWM signal to use. Re-read my second paragraph above. To shorten to a "do this" form:
1. Make sure one of the fans is plugged into the white Port #1 of the Hub.
2. Make sure the cable from the Hub that ends in a female 4-pin fan connector is plugged into one of your mobo's SYS_FAN ports. NOTE which one this is.
3. Boot into BIOS Setup and go to where you configure your SYS_FAN ports. See your mobo manual, page 3-43. Set at least the one port you are using to operate in PWM Mode, NOT in DC Mode. SAVE and EXIT.
