How can I enter bios if PS2 keyboard power is set to OFF in BIOS?

There is no power to the keyboard of my PC and without it I cannot see how to enter the BIOS of my ASROCK m/b to check if Keyboard Power is set to OFF.
Help me please.

There will be no way to enter without a keyboard. Try getting another keyboard? As far as I know there is no keyboard power switch, and if there is, how did you turn it off and manage to save the setting in the bios? And maybe the ps2 keyboard is not compatible, unless you've used it before.

The keyboard works fine with another PC.
The ASROCK BIOS includes a Keyboard Power OFF setting, so I want to enter the BIOS to check if that has been set to OFF.

Like I said before you can't enter bios without a keyboard. Maybe try another one and see if it works. Then how did you save the ''off'' setting without the keyboard? Maybe try to change settings in the Windows control panel? I think it's stupid to make such a setting.

I got the PC to repair and since ANY keyboard I connect does not power up, either the m/b is faulty (everything else works OK) or the ASROCK BIOS keyboard power setting is wrong. Seems like a crazy setting to have, but I would hesitate to call their engineers <stupid>.

Are you ONLY using a ps/2 keyboard? do USB keyboards also not work?

It would indeed be a crazy setting to have, that's why no BIOS has it. You have obviously misunderstood what it does.

"PS/2 Keyboard Power On" in the BIOS has nothing to do with the keyboard's ability to access the BIOS settings.

That feature simply enables or disables the keyboard's ability to turn on the computer without you having to press the power button on the system case.

Whether that feature is enabled or disabled, you should still be able to access the BIOS settings.

Evidently you've never used MS-DOS or a similar OS which doesn't support USB devices.
Some tasks require the use of DOS even today (admittedly not as much as 10 years ago) if you're in the PC fixing business.

So what is OP running, windows 95?

Oh my! That never even appealed to me, I have that setting enabled on my pc and didn't even think that it could be that he misunderstood it. It would really be stupid to be able to turn the keyboard poower on and off.

Sounds as if the keyboard is broken. Can you try it with another computer?

Anyway, you can get USB keyboards for about $10 so it's not a huge investment to get your computer working again. As others have said, there is no BIOS setting that turns off power to the PS/2 keyboard; that would be silly.
