How can I force my clock speed to stay at 1050 MHz

So I was running 3D Fire Strike benchmark and I noticed that my clock speed was only at 640 MHz 30% under load and this was (I think) resulting in lower frame rate (25-35 fps on something that I could easily get 90 fps). I know that there is a way to force the oc using Precision X, but I have a AMD card. Any other way to do this? Btw I use Afterburner to oc

Need moar details! What is your system setup and what temps are you getting? My guess would be that its throttling due to temps, but i cant say without knowing temps. Did you run the stability test? what was the result?

I'm running a r7 360 on a fx 4300 (soon to be i5 6500). It was during the physics test in the skydiver benchmark. My gpu temp was only 52C.

oh, you said firestrike so i assumed it was the stability test. So let me get this straight. you are running a physics test and you are concerned because your graphics card is not being fully utilized? The physics test isnt supposed to max out the gpu. Physics is handled by the cpu. Sounds like everything is working as intended as long as its just the physics test that your concerned about. Now if its doing that during the graphics test as well, you might have a problem.

I understand that my card is not going to be fully under load in some games and benchmarks, this occurs in cs:go where my gpu is only at 758 MHz in game and is 68% under load. When my brother stuck his gtx 960 in my pc, he loaded precision X and locked his clock at 1250 MHz. I want to know if there is a way to do that using like afterburner or something like that. (Btw, I'm a noob when it comes to benchmarks so I didn't know that the physics test is cpu intensive)

Check your BIOS config, go to Frecuency GPU option or something like that, it should stay on "AUTO" maybe, it is on the lowest config from the BIOS.

I havent seen anything that will lock it, but to be honest i havent looked. gpus are pretty good about using what they need. i highly doubt you would gain anything by locking the clock other than a higher electric bill. Run the firestrike stability test and post the result. it takes about 10 minutes i think.
