How Can I Get More VRAM on My Processor?

Hi ive come here today to ask what i can do to increase the video RAM in my processor, here is the processor : Intel Core i3-3110M, i also have 8gb of normal RAM if there is away i can reroute that to the video RAM great :)
 
I've Checked in the BIOS many times before and found nothing about dedicated video RAM, and i can go into the advanced area and its all grey'd out so i cannot access it, if you know a way to fix this id be much obliged.
 
There probably isn't. Integrated GPUs like what's found on the i3 are usually fixed at a certain amount of RAM that they can use. The fixed amount of system RAM they use is usually more than sufficient for 720p to 1080p desktop & video playback purposes, & (unlike AMD's APU line) they're not really meant for even mid-range game playing. So, if it's not letting you change it, it's because you can't.

If you're wanting to improve your gaming experience, you'll need to get a dedicated GPU.
 
Hmm...and yet, the link says that a) the graphics have an upper limit based on the chip & OS (in his case, the i3-3110M has HD 4000 graphics, which top out at 1GB maximum for Windows XP & 1.7GB for Windows 7), and b) the graphics can also be set to a fixed amount by the motherboard/laptop manufacturer.

It sounds like in this case he's on a fixed amount of VRAM, so adding more to the laptop will speed up the laptop but not increase the amount available for VRAM.
 
Adding more ram will not increase the amount of vram? Well yes, he can already max out to 1.7gb. Mobo manufacturers can set the max amount but no company in their right mind will limit their performance and make them worse than competitors. By default it's on auto and dynamically changes the amount. This is the whole point of dvmt and he does not have the option to set it manually. The mobo manufactuerer is not going to handicap themselves and have never seen a mobo that did. You also have a shared amount set by windows that cannot be changed on top of the amount dvmt takes. The amount of vram is useless in this case.
