how can i get my screen to more than 60hz

it may seem kind of idiot to ask butmy screen which is a monitor tv by samsung is used in my office as a monitor but mostly for gaming. its specs say that it has 100hz refresh rate but from both windows and nvidia i can have it to 60hz. is smthng wrong? is it that i connect it with HDMI ?? can i cange it ??

The problem is that the refresh rate of 100hz is not supported by your graphics card. It supports 60hz and may support 120hz or 144hz, but 100hz is not supported.

^your TV isn't 100htz - its fancy marketing blurb for a double pass picture processing option.
It will be a 60htz screen full stop.

Its a 60htz screen with 100htz picture processing mate as I said.
The 100htz spec is fake & a commonly used trick by TV manufacturers.
My TV is specced as 120htz but is also only 60htz really.
