Still very new with computer but I got an old power supply (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007) from a friend and I'm wondering if it is compatible with a motherboard that can take on a core i5 Kaby Lake-7600K processor(https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117728)\

Any help is appreciated and an explanation as to why would even be better! Thank you!

It will be compatible as it is a normal ATX size PSU and so it has the standard 24 pin connector which powers motherboards and if you have a Kaby Lake CPU I doubt you have an ancient motherboard so don't worry your PSU and motherboard should be compatible
