How Can I Make Windows 8/Windows 8.1 Check If Multiple Monitors Are Connected?

Windows 8/Windows 8.1, being a complete and versatile operating system also allows you to connect multiple monitors to a single system. The number of monitors that can be connected to a computer depends upon the number of VGA (Visual Graphic Adapter) cards that are installed on the system.

With the help of multiple monitors, you can either throw a single display to all the connected monitors, or you can split the display over to the monitors in order to view the entire display screen at a larger scale.

Whatsoever the requirement may be, there might be situations where you want to detect the number of monitors that are connected to a running Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer. Although you can manually count the connected monitors, it is a time consuming and tedious task, especially when the monitors are placed in different rooms, or sometimes at different compounds altogether.

In order to make the task easier, Windows 8/Windows 8.1 has a built-in feature using which you can detect the number of connected monitors with just a mouse left-click.

Here is how you can get this done:

■Log on to Windows 8/Windows 8.1 from your regular account.
■Once logged on, click Desktop from the Start screen.
■Right-click anywhere on the desktop screen to display context menu.
■From the displayed options, click Screen resolution.
