How can i overclock this AMD processor?

My processor is very rubbish its 1.70 GHz and i can't run many good games like GTA IV and i cant overclock it with AMD overdrive it says cannot detect AMD processor or its not supported.

This is my processor

AMD E2-1800 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.70 GHz

Notebook CPU, you can't overclock it.

There have been a couple of work around programs for the lower end apu's from amd... mainly for undervolting but you "should" be able to over clock with them as well. https://code.google.com/p/brazostweaker/wiki/UserguideBrazosTweaker

Can't say it will make your PC worthy of playing games on but it will likely get you slightly smoother game play in games that you can run currently just not smoothly.

It's late, but if you still have this question, yes you can overclock it. There is a program called BrazosTweaker, with that, you can overclock that. It is working, you can go over 2GHz. I'm using a 1.9 GHz clock speed.
