Hello,
I want to overclock my Xeon E5450 (3.00GHz) to about 3.66-4.00GHz, but I dont know why I cant...
I successfully overclock my CPU to 3.21GHz but over that I cannot go.
I think the problem is in Voltage, all my options are set to AUTO, so I wanted to ask you if You could help me.
My CPU HOST FREQUENCY is 357 witch gives me 3.21GHz, all other options are set to TURBO or EXTREME, but Voltage is not touched because I firstly want to ask you for help.
So can I and how to overclock my CPU to 3.66-4.00GHz, and should I higher my Voltage and if so how much ??

My specs: CPU- Xeon E5450 (3.00GHz) [currently on 3.21GHz]
MOTHERBOARD- Gigabyte P41T-D3P (775 socket)
PSU- Raidmax 500W (400W eff.)
RAM- 1 Corsair 1333MHz & 1 Corsair 1600MHz [Motherboard can support only up to
1333MHz]
HDD- 1 Hitachi 500Gb & 1 Maxtor 160Gb

GPU- Nvidia GeForce GTX 660

Thanks for all answers and help !!

Solution
overclockers.com <== i read a few threads about overclocking on any P41 mobo and they're all negative. Just doesn't work well. if you're stable at 3.21 GHz, that's about all you can expect. one thread i read commented that overclocking ended up with dead mobo within a few months.
