how can i prevent facebook message sound from interfering with my youtube sound?

when im listening to music on youtube
and receive a message on facebook
the sound reduces my music volume for a moment
how can i prevent that
or turn off facebook sounf completely?

To turn off notification sounds, go to your notifications settings and uncheck the box next to Play a sound when each new notification is received: Click in the upper-right corner of any page on Facebook and select Settings. Click Notifications in the left column. Find the How you get notifications section.
