Question How can I screen record without being detected by windows?

I want to screen record on my computer but I do not want it to be detected by the by windows as it slows down my computer.

The only thing that can come to mind is an external camera recording the screen, but this is hard to set up and has to come from an odd angle.

I also thought about a remote desktop but it requires something to be open on my computer.

Any thoughts?
