Question How can I test my non-working CPU fan ?

In trying to diagnose my microphone problems, I removed the chassis cover and saw that my cpu fan was not running. I downloaded SpeedFan and saw that the cpu temp is about 50 deg cel while running cpu-intensive apps and down to 43c when just on the internet with the cover still off. How can I test that it is the fan and not the power going to the fan?

those cpu temps are sort of low, so your cpu fan might automatically turn off if it doesn't exceed a certain temp

Thanks, Alex. When the temp got up to 65c for a while and the fan still did not come on, I was concerned. This desktop is 6.5 yrs old and needs to have a full evaluation anyway so I am taking it to a local shop to wring it out. I don't have the time to do it myself. Thanks again.
