Hi, I purchased a ASUS VS239H-P a while back and I just noticed that my computer recognizes it as a Generic PnP Monitor. The specifications of the monitor says it has 75hz. But in monitor settings, it says it only has 60hz. I've tried downloading the drivers through Asus website but none of them worked.

Thanks.

I am reading it says 50-75 hz, so 60hz in general. If there ins't a setting...

You can "overclock" your monitor, but that's not adivseable. It is very complicated, and risky. Most monitors will over heat. This will prove challenging to game on when it is melting.

Also, all the generic PNP monitors will show 75hz, mine do. I am not sure why. But they are all 60hz according to manufact.

no what i mean is that when i got my monitor, the specs for it was 75hz
but in my screen resolution settings it says its 60hz

What is the model number? Also what graphics card do you have?

My monitor is an ASUS VS239H-P an my gfx is a GTX 560Ti.

I am reading it says 50-75 hz, so 60hz in general. If there ins't a setting on the screen it's self... and you really want that extra refreshing rate here:

Don't forget to pick a solution. 😀

Ever hear of Google? I know numbers in the billions might be hard for you to comprehend, but with that many people using computers, I doubt that this is the only person with a similar question. I stumbled onto this while looking for something else. It was simple to answer. So why not answer it in case someone else wants to know?
