Question How can i use my 144hz monitor on a laptop?

With the start of the college i will be switching to my laptop for gaming.I'm running a BENQ XL2411Z monitor on my pc currently and i have DELL 7577 laptop with i7-7700q,gtx1050ti.I connected my monitor to my laptop with hdmi but it didn't support 144hz.So i thought maybe a hdmi to dvi converter would work but i'm not sure since my laptop doesn't have anything but hdmi plug.

Does this adapter support 144hz and have a dvi dual link output?

Make sure your laptops hdmi port supports 144hz.
