how can I use ~ symbol on my Acer laptop keyboard

My son is playing a game and the ~ symbol is in green. He needs it to look in his backpack on the game. How do we access the symbol on the keyboard?

If you mean this ~ symbol, pretty much you just need to hold down the shift key + ~ key to make it work. I'm really hoping I understood your concern.

Another option would be to go into the game's settings and re-bind the function to a different key.
