I have a Bluetooth adapter, but it goes into the audio jack and it only allows me to plug in headphones. Is there a way I can make a tv have real Bluetooth? Like, it can be controlled with Alexa and stuff?

HDMI? Maybe if your TV supported control over HDMI. But I doubt that it would be any cheaper than the IR implementation. Why do you believe HDMI/USB is better than infrared ?
I honestly don’t know a lot about what you sent me, but what I have gathered, it seems like a device that you plug into the tv and can be used as a remote. I have a remote, I couldn’t find a price but I assume it’s a little expensive, and really all I need is something that can work with Alexa and I can connect my headphones to. Something similar to my Bluetooth transmitter I already have.

I don't use Alexa but my interpretation of the device is like of a universal remote that works via WIFI with alexa. You program the device just like a universal remote and then when you tell alexa to turn on the TV it commands this device which uses the infrared codes to turn on the TV just like pushing the remote buttons.

I thought you HAD a bluetooth headphone adapter and were looking for full control of your devices via Alexa ...

I do, I’m just looking for a Bluetooth device that can control my tv and I can use it to pair my headphones to it as well. I might use my current Bluetooth transmitter somewhere else.
I don't know of a device that does what you want. There may be other universal remotes that are Alexa compatible that are cheaper. Logitech makes some. My link was strictly an example of the type of devices to look for that allow you to integrate non-Alexa devices.
