[SOLVED] How come consoles gpu are more cheaper than desktop gpu?

So the ps5 msrp is $500 and its gpu is equivalent to the rtx 2070 and the rtx 2070 msrp is also the same price as the ps5($500). I know that the desktop gpu has a cooler and that will give estra cost but that doesnt even worth that much. So why are consoles gpu much more cheaper than the destop gpu?

For one thing.....consoles are mass produced on a much larger scale than individual GPU models and this reduces cost.

Economies of scale.

Also consoles are designed to make money on games. They lose money on the hardware.

they don't make much on console sales, usually that's the hook, then you buy games and network services/accounts, so, consoles have often been sold at a loss. they are not cheaper. subsidised by services and software sales, that's where they make the money.

the only ones who make some money on hardware is nintendo because they rape their customers--and the customers keep buying it....

SONY does it too with Playstation. so there is your answer. they are not cheaper--though as mentioned above, since they are mass produced, they do get cheaper prices on the gpu's and other components due to economies of scale

i really don't want to see any of them sell at a loss because i love the competition. i want all the players to be strong and growing and changing for the better. stuff like this, a new ps5 model with a better chip
