How come RealTemp shows a different CPU temperature?

How come RealTemp shows a different CPU temperature?

okay I just took this result from two different program the first one is the motherboard's temperature software (it comes from the manufacturer's site) and the second one took from the realtemp and it show two different values.

when my CPU is idle the CPU's temperature is 35C and when it's at full load it goes to 66C but realtemp shows 70C how come it shows two different values?

my motherboard is Foxconn G31MX
and my Processor is Dual Core e5300 OC to 3GHz.and ambient temperature is 26~27C

and other thing is the realtemp's temperature never goes below 41,39C and it always stops at that temperature values

The way I see it, if you have more than one watch, you're never gonna know the exact time!
I use HWiNFO64 and it works.

what do you mean by that? I actually tested both software individually and I have been using real temp since last year and it shows in its report it never went below 41,39C and always stuck at that temperature when it is idle or goes below 41C but then goes above when the processor is being used. but the Foxcon software doesn't have any issue like that.

it always stuck at 41C,39C when the temperature is about to go below 41C,39C but then when the processor is being used it goes above without any issue and the max temperature is 70C (realtemp) when the processor is being used 100% and Foxconn one shows 66C at that load.

I mean that you should use just one monitoring software. There will be differences between any two monitors. I use to have more than one monitoring software, but I deleted all but one.

Maybe because that is the processor's normal idle temp? Why would you expect it to go lower?

because it goes lower with the Foxconn one software. the minimum value so far I noticed was 34C but realtemp always shows the minimum value as 41C and 39C

this is not just with Realtemp even HWMonitor, SpeedFan all shows the Minimum value as 41C,39C and they never go below 41C,39C no matter how cool the ambient temperature is I remember in last December the ambient temperature was 24C but still the temperature was 41C,39C and now the ambient temperature is 27C and still it's same and when the ambient temperature is 30C and still the minimum value is same but maximum value changes depend on the ambient temperature but usually the Foxcon one software shows a lower value. as an example when the realtemp shows 70C at 100% (3kGHz) FOxconn shows 66C.

The point I was trying to make, is we don't know where the Foxconn pgm is reading the temp, do we? Cores? tCase? MB sensor under the socket? I would trust Real Temp or HWMonitor over Foxconn's no-name pgm.

well your point might be right when the CPU fan is fluctuating depend on the CPU temperature but the CPU fan speed is constant (almost constant) and it runs at almost max speed (but no noise because I bought a separate cooler) so how come the minimum temperature is always stuck at 41C,39C with these software?
