I am 14 years old and I do know a lot about computers i'm getting an obsidian 900d case and idk what parts to get or if I could even build one can someone help me out I want it to stay under $1,300 and I want it to be the best it can. (I want at least 8GB of ram). I am also looking for the cpu to be separate from the motherboard so I can upgrade the cpu later if I need/want to. If you have any other case recommendation I would be up to here it thanks!

If you follow the instructions in a youtube video, and preferably have a parent help you there is little room for error.

Here's a link to a great priced 23" monitor

i would say %10 of your budget should go to a case at most, unless you want something specific for the future like water cooling or something of the sort. as for products go their keyboards i enjoy (i like my mechanical keyboard) but in reality it doesn't matter to much for that. mice i like my logitech well over the 3 razer mice i have owned. as for gpu that 780 ti is one hell of a card.

I tend to stick with functional rather than flashy cases, I'm an old guy and I shove my computer under a desk. So side windows and fancy colors or designs are wasted on me. That's my tastes though.

For me, Corsair has the Carbide and Graphite series that are straight forward decent cases in the $100-$120 range. Then the Cooler Master 690 series (they have been building variations of this case for a long time) are decent. Fractal is a relatively newcomer, but they make some very nice looking cases in that price range.

Mainly what you are looking for is that you like the looks of it and whether it has good airflow and the front panel connections you need. I would say at a minimum that it have USB 3.0 connectors, may USB 2.0 as well, but not necessary. Also you probably want to have HD front panel audio connections. Beyond that, if you plan on having external drives what size(s).

the smaller water cooling ones can replace ur rear exhaust fan and you can read about them on the corsair website for a description. watch youtube videos on how to build a pc and alot of individual components will have videos aswell and u could look up a couple guides google as well for extra referencing. There is nothing non standard about this build really that would change building it compare to pretty much any guide. Maybe the water cooling would need a seperate guide but it would be easy anyway. I have never missed with LED myself but you can look up seperate guides for those aswell.
