[SOLVED] How do i add an M.2 Drive as storage space?

i just recently bought a silicon power PCIe 3 x 4 M.2 2280 512 GB SSD for more storage space. im using a MSI Z170-A Pro with a MSI Click 5 Bios. i checked the manual and i have no idea how to get it recognized for more storage. i have drives connected on connections 5, 1, and 2.

any help would be appreciated.

With that drive in the M.2 port, SATA ports 3 and 4 are disabled.

Does this drive appear in Disk Management?

it does not appear in the bios storage devices, and it does not appear in file explorer, but it does appear in device manager, the drivers are apparently up to date.

I cant find anything called 'disk management' in the bios but the drive shows up in the device manager

Not in the BIOS.

Right click on the Windows start button at bottom left. Disk Management is one of the choices.
Open that up.

Ok, I got it working. Turns out I was being dumb and didnt initialize the drive correctly. Thank you
