Question How do I boot from cd or disc?

I insert the boot disc and get onto the page where it says "CD ROM boot priority boot ready press any key to boot from cd or DVD... ".
I press a key and the PC makes a noise and just stays on the page. How do I fix this to get on the installation page?

It sounds like you are doing things correctly.

I think you may have a bad disk or a bad drive.

Thank you for that reassurance.
It had worked once but it told me to restart the computer after it checked something. And now it's not going back to that installation screen
