I have an old Via Voice 10, I cant do a lot of keyboard work due to arthritis, is there a way to download and install cable that will recognise the audio file and type a rough draft for me to correct, etc afterwards?

Did you actually use Via Voice? It does exactly what you want. Not sure what else you are looking for here, Via Voice is a text to speech program, you speak, it types.

Umm, what are you talking about? You can't download a cable. A cable is a piece of wire with connectors on either end. Do you mean that you want to play the audio file and plug that signal into your microphone input so that Via Voice will transform it? That's doable. I've never worked with that software, but it's possible that it will simply open an audio file, which would save you some time.

Please be a bit more specific and we will try to help you.

I watched a few speech to text videos on You Tube. I have pain in wrists, was hoping that Via Voice could transform the audio file, e.g. wav or .mp3 into a text file for me. The local suppliers here in Cape Town, South Africa, only sell Dragon (too expensive).Email address removed by moderator
