How do I configure HDMI on my Sceptre?

Well, I finally enabled the display ports on my motherboard to further the investigation of the issue I am having bad display when connnecting monitor to computer using HDMI.

The monitor is a Sceptre 24' 1920 x 1080 1080p HDTV that was used previously as a gaming monitor / tv.

I have tried configuring all settings possible on my computer , as well as the TV , but sadly no luck.

The color itself looks GREAT with HDMI, they really pop out and look great, everything else...not so much. The texts/fonts/ everything else is very shadowy / grainy and really hurts my eyes to look at for a long time.

I enabled the Intel HD 4600 graphics and display ports on my motherboard to try and got interesting results. The HDMI into motherboard gives the same results (bad fonts/texts/etc) but the VGA looks fine.

So I have gotten these results: VGA looks great both in the GPU and Integrated Graphics , but HDMI looks bad on both.

I'm not sure what the root of this problem is, but for now I enabled the integrated graphics and am connected to it using VGA as I do not have VGA port on my video card and am waiting for my VGA / DVI adapter.

I have the manual for my monitor and have read it thoroughly and have not found anything on how to configure this.

QUESTIONS:
1) Why is this bad display occurring only through HDMI?
2) Under Display Adapters in Device Manager, there is both my GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760) and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 but for now I am using the integrated until I receive my adapter , is this okay use or do I need to disable the GPU?
3) How can I configure settings to make HDMI work properly?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Are you setting a particular resolution, or are you relying on the computer selecting a resolution to use ? My guess would be that you're viewing different display settings when you connect VGA, and these better suit the characteristics of your screen.
