How do I connect bose 601 speakers to new smart tv ?

I want to connect 34 yr old speakers to a new smart tv.

Does your smart TV has binding posts for speakers? It is not common, so you would need an amplifier, and your TV must have audio out (either optical, or RCA white-and-red). If you tell us your TV model, we can tell this for you.

@DJett - if one believes Crutchfield, they have nothing but 8Ohm drivers.

Aw, that's a shame. They look like some nice speakers.

You can still use them, if you pair them with stereo amplifier ($30+) or full-blown receiver ($100+). Your local Goodwill / Salvation Army store could have one even cheaper.
