Hi there everyone. I have been recently modding my thermalTake overseer Rx-1 full tower chassis.I did quite a lot of painting and it looks good.I decided to have a full Windows in the case,my cable management is good.I have a red and black color scheme. I want some red led strips in my PC case.
I don't know anything about how to connect them. Tell me how will I connect the less with each other as I can't run over a whole pile of led strip. How will I connect it to my PSU.There is also to do some thing with that Molex/Molax connector thing. Please help me sort out.
P.S:I don't want anything to order online. I am pretty sure that it's an easy job and just needs some guidance.
Thank you. :D

Just a matter of finding the right connectors and there are many options depending on what strip you buy.

I used this ....
5 Meter Black 3528 SMD White 300 LEDs http://www.amazon.com/LED-Outlets-Meter-Black-Waterproof-Flexible/dp/B00E9N7SX6

Phanteks cases (Primo / Luxe include and LED control system) ..... they have an existoing wire that connected tro the LED strip for internal LEDs. The matching wire is this one.

Your mileage may vary depending on the specific LED control system / LED strip you use. In either case, you simply connect the two wires to a molex or SATA power connector and plug into your PSU cable. There's no ugly "black tape" joints using this method. You can also sleeve the cables.

So guys actually the wiki how guide helped me a lot.But I can't just really get over this part
"Image titled Add LED Lights to PC Step 4
4
Splice the LED strips into the MOLEX connector.
The first end of the flexible LED strips should come with a pair of wires to connect power to. If not, then solder two wires to the positive and negative terminals.
Grab your MOLEX connector. The Yellow wire is 12V, and the black is ground. Choose a connector you want to use as the place where you splice the connection. The connector end where the two branches meet is what you plug into the power supply.
Use the wire stripper to split the black and yellow wire.
Solder the black wire (ground) from your MOLEX connector to one wire from your strip assembly.
Do the same for the other wire.
Secure the connections by using some electrical tape."
-This part is a bit tricky. If one of you could help me get over this and btw can you tell me how to connect led wired using Sata cable?
And for connecting the led strips pieces with each other can I use some local positive and negative wire and then sloder them to each led strip end and connect the other part with the other led Strip head?
Many problems have been solved just need a bit more help.
Thanks for the speedy reply tho :)

Sorry I am newbie at tomshardware that's why I have been posting some random S**t. So I got the point and want to tell
You what I am going to do.
So now that I have placed the led strip and now it's time to Power it. If it doesn't have a connector I can use simple Positive and negative Wire and sloder them with the led Head end. Then I have to find whether my led is 5v or 12v.If it is 12v I will connect the red (Positive) wire with the yellow wire from the Molex and the other black with a ground wire.
Am i right?I think I am:)
Anyways the only thing I wanted to confirm is that can I connect the led strips with each other by soldering positive and negative wires to each head of the led strip?
I know I confuse a lot but....
