Solution
It's all down to your motherboard and which waterblock you're going to use.
As the site shows, you'll only be able to use one of these sturdy connectors if you have the correct distance between your PCI-E ports.

In most cases your PCI-E slot 1 and 2 should have the correct distance. Like it's shown on the picture in the e-shop, you'll probably have just enough clearance so that a PCI port might be in between the PCI-E ports.

If you're going for a CSQ waterblock, then you'll have to buy the connector from link 2, if you're going for the non-CSQ waterblock, then you'll have to buy the one from link 1. 😉

Hope this helped!

load temps for the top card while playing bf4 are around 73 degrees Celsius and the bottom is usually between 60-63 degrees Celsius. while stress testing the cards, the top reaches all the way to 86 degrees Celsius, and bottom in the low 70's. Both cards have a slight overclock on them.

thanks. curious because my card is similar, as you can see, and am considering SLI. leaning more towards a complete upgrade when i need it, maybe 980ti. i agree, 86 is too high, but that's also under stress test. how is the performance? and at what resolution? sorry if i am asking too much.

currently, with just the one card, gaming never brings me higher than 68C. the highest i have seen is 76C i think and that was when i was stress testing for a couple hours straight to find my best overclock.
