Hello, I recently today got BenQ XL2411T 144Hz monitor but it doesn't show 144Hz from settings, or even from CCC. Giving 60Hz as max.

I have Dual link DVI and my GPU is 6950 which has DL-DVI spot and it is on correct spot

For some reason im only able to get 60Hz and CCC shows 120Hz but maximum resolution being 1024x768 and can't get higher resolution.

Also from reading other threads when people have had similar problem, my monitor is shown as generic pnp monitor which it shouldn't be doing but i don't know how to fix it since it doesn't let me install monitor drivers or do i know how when i get them from BenQ's website.

The DVI cable i use is the one that came with the monitor, my drivers are latest for AMD

and i have tried to install the drivers, but i don't know how, i've tried the way BenQ says in their CD setup but windows doesn't let me because the monitor is as "generic pnp monitor" windows tells me i have the best drivers for it when i try to install drivers by updating them.

I've also tried uninstalling the generic pnp monitor drivers and rebooted my PC but it just comes back after rebooting and won't let me install drivers

I'm really clueless what to do at this point

I have a Samsung, but it showed as PnP until I loaded the drivers. It is the only way it has to identify the monitor. You need to identify the monitor in order to be able to set it at what you want. At the moment, it is just setiing it at a generic default setting. You can try to do it from their site as it may be a boit easier than the disk.

That is why I suggested you go to their site and try to install them from there. Seems I found it easier than using the disk that came with this Samsung.

I did go their website and the driver there is just the same folder that is in CD, also that what you linked is drivers to XL2410T but i have XL2411T not to mention that website requires to install a driver program that you have to pay for.

Okay. I was afraid that may be the case as far as the pay thing goes.

You are getting that message because you are running generic drivers. It doesn't recognize the monitor. Same with Video cards, you can install the card, but it wil run Generic drivers until you install the drivers for the card. Try this; I went as far as I could go and couldn't pull up the drivers. Probably because I have a Samsung monitor: http://www.benq-eu.com/page/?pageid=4&plid=5&pid=2036&key=Drivers&s=1 In the first link you provided, right click on the second option on the list. These are your .exe files. From menu, if it is there. click to "Run As admin " or to Run, whichever comes up.
