how do I enable wifi on dell inspiron 570

I have a dell inspiron 570 desktop and am wondering if I can connect to internet by Wi-Fi. I have a virginmedea(netgear)superhub modem/router

Desktop computers do not have a wireless adapter fitted at the factory as they are usually connected by ethernet cable to a router, but you can add wireless capability if you so wish. There are two ways to accomplish that:

1) Buy a USB wireless adapter (the easiest method as there's no need to open the computer case).

2) Buy a PCI wireless card that fits into an internal PCI slot (you need to open the case of course to install it).

Option 1) has another advantage in that it can easily be moved from one PC to another if required.

If you go for the USB solution, please read the instructions carefully. You will usually find that the driver software has to be installed before plugging in the adapter - very important you remember that.
