I had the damned password and NEVER figured I would need to address a "set-up"
routine ever again but in an "upgrade" something went amiss and now password is
being asked for. I KNOW there is a place within Windows you can find it or online,
but for the life of me I can'r remember where. HELP?!?!

Solution
There will not be a password associated with the actual network adapter.
You might be looking for your homegrown password

(Most likely)

Or maybe your router password? If you forgot it, you would reset the router and enter the default username and password (google for the default router password)

Various other passwords are stored in various places on the system and off the system but I don't think this is what you are looking for.
