[SOLVED] How do I find the mini pcie gen of my laptop ?

I have a latitude E6440 and I wanted to find out the mini pcie gen of my laptop so that i could decide which gpu to use in my egpu setup.

You can typically go by cpu gen so 3.0. Regardless it's x1 so makes little difference.

so are you saying that my mini pcie port is gen 3 port with 1 GB/S transfer speed ?

Googled to confirm and it's 2.0. This is still irrelevant to gpu selection. There have been multiple others to use an egpu on that laptop so it was like a 1 minute google. If you were looking at the exp gdc, then don't waste your money. The adapter shouldn't cost more than $10.
