Hi guys, a few days ago I got an internal HDD out of my Uncle's PC which he told me I could keep if I can fix it. This should've been my first warning...
Turns out the hard drive is corrupted and keeps giving me cyclic error checks whenever I try to format the disk or try opening another volume on the disk.
The software I'm currently using for it is EaseUS, since it helped me install and integrate my SSD into my build a few months back.
I've even went as far as to use CMD to try and fix the hard drive.
The drive is a WD Blue 2TB HDD, so I guess it's new-ish
what I've tried:
-Disk manager to format it to GPT
-Use EaseUS to try and wipe/format the HDD
-Use CMD to try to format the HDD
-Use EaseUS to try and recover any lost partitions on it
Thus far I've managed to discover that for some reason it is stuck in read-only mode.
