I am trying to fix SM Bus Controller in the Device Manger, it shows a yellow "!" beside it and I did some research and it looks like it has to do with the chipset, so I downloaded the latest one for my motherboard but it did not fix anything, anyone know how to fix this? Step by step tutorial would be great. Also sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question I thought this would be the best part of the forums to ask this question since it is related to the motherboard.
Motherboard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VI HERO 1150 Z87 Chipset.
P.S: This is on Windows 8.1

Solution

As HP says in their article, you may not have a SM Bus Controller. Follow the steps they provide to troubleshoot.

Didnt do anything it just came back with the same "!".

Ill try it again, when it becomes unziped from Winrar do I select the Setup.exe? There are other files when openning it. Some are dll, inx, ini etc.
