How do I get a GTX 970 with a reference cooler or just a reference card?

As most of you know Nvidia came out with the 980 and 970 last night and the 980 is now being shipped with it's stock sexy cooler yet the 970 has a pathetic looking plastic piece of you know what slapped on it so that the vendors can save a ton of cash. So how do I get a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 with a stock cooler or reference card in Canada? (Or at least tell me how to get one in the US) And also please do not throw the active cooling solution benchmarks out there I don't really care, I need a blower-style cooler because of my case and I'm in love with the reference card's look.

Yeah I admit it doesn't make sense to ship to the US. It gives hope that these cards are out there, I'm sure retailers in the US will adopt it soon, there must be a bigger demand for it over there.

I'm especially fond of their statement that they bolstered their PCB design so as to eliminate any coil whine!
Glad to know that there are companies out there that actually would listen and respond to market response and demands.

Ya know what sucks for me though, Newegg.com doesn't ship to Canada because we've got Newegg.ca, and it isn't on there 😀, ah and now I'm going through the RMA process with Gigabyte because my 770 flaked out.

There is a 970 with the reference design at Best Buy. I'm not sure if they ship to Canada, but they ship it to the US for sure, as I just ordered it myself. It was a hard find, so hoping to help others out 🙂

Well you can get one at Bestbuy but then you have to deal with them and on top of that it is more expensive then the other designs.

At my local branch location, they had the Gigabyte G1 gaming edition GTX 970 and they also had the reference cards. My computer is red theme with red LED lighting and the bright green "GeForce GTX" logos look VERY nice in there. Wow!

That's pretty odd. I'm in the US, and I used to buy Warhammer 40,000 kits from Canada and overseas on a fairly regular basis, before Games Workshop decided to embargo online sales (thankfully I can still buy kits from amazon, though 😀). I also have Canadian friends who buy stuff from American retailers all the time (or at least so they tell me). I'm curious as to why your situation would be different.
