How do i get hdmi sound and pc speakers to work with my tv?

I have the audio out aka headphone(green circle) on my tv
but plugging it in only yields pc speaker sound only
im using hdmi sound with 6870hd crossfire

I'm unsure of exactly what you are trying to do. I get the impression it is one of the following
-you want to hook your computer up to your tv so your tv is essentially a monitor. If it's this one then are you trying to get the sound to come out of both the tv and pc speakers at the same time?
-You already have a video source for your tv but want to send the sound to your pc which will then play the sound over its speakers.
Am I close?

late reply but yes I want sound to come out of both the tv and pc speakers at the same time

ive got that sorted thats what i do, my problem is i want to plug in speakers to my tv, but no sound comes out of them, i am putting them into the right fittings and they do work, its doin my head in

I know to get sound through some tv's, you need to make sure the tv is turned on and on the hdmi input before you power up your PC (its normally the cheaper tv's).

Try opening NVIDIA control panel or Catalyst under the display drop down there should be "set up digital audio", then look for the hdmi drop down.

Make sure all your drivers are upto date.
