How do I get the SATA drivers onto an existing HD?

I have added a HD with an existing win2k installation on it - with lots
of data I want. It fails to boot because it doesn't have the SATA
drivers for the 7VT600P.

I now have a diskette with the drivers on, and I have the win2k setup
cd. So I can boot and then F6 to install drivers.

But then what do I do? Re-install? Without losing existing data - it is
only one partition. Repair? How do I install the drivers on the
existing installation?
Thanks

If it's just the data you want then connect the old HD to your new setup as
a slave unit. Boot into windows from the new HD then access the old HD in
explorer then drag & drop between them.

You won't ever be able to boot from the old HD - the SATA drivers would be
the least of the problems you'd encounter. A repair install might work, but
it's doubtful, it could also possibly damage the allocation table if it fell
over and data would be lost..

F6 during the process, to install sata drivers
I've never had a problem moving a win2k installation to new hardware
